Nurtured PathPsychosocial Wellness & Counselling
Our mission

Nurtured Path exists to help adolescents, young adults and families better understand themselves, navigate difficult experiences and develop the emotional skills needed to thrive. We provide trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate psychosocial support that creates a safe space to make sense of what is happening, build healthier patterns and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

How we work

What shapes our practice

  • Trauma-informed

We consider the experiences that may sit beneath behaviour.

  • Developmentally informed

Support is adapted to the young person’s age and developmental stage.

  • Practical

We focus on skills that can be used outside the counselling room.

  • Relational

Healthy development happens within relationships, families and communities.

  • Whole-person

Emotional wellbeing is connected to identity, relationships, environment and life circumstances.

The Nurtured Path Model™

Support that goes beyond the conversation.

  1. 01

    Notice

Recognising what is happening, and what it might be telling us.

  2. 02

    Understand

Exploring the emotions, experiences and patterns underneath.

  3. 03

    Regulate

Building ways to steady big feelings and manage pressure.

  4. 04

    Relate

    Strengthening communication, boundaries and connection.

  5. 05

    Grow

Carrying new skills and self-understanding into everyday life.

Professional boundaries

Safe, clear and professional.

Confidentiality, consent and safeguarding sit at the centre of everything we do. We are clear about what we offer, where our role ends, and when another professional or service may be better placed to help.

Nurtured Path is not an emergency or crisis service. You can read more about how we work in our professional information pages.

Start with a conversation.

Whether you are reaching out for yourself, your teenager or your family, the first step can simply be a conversation.
